MONTCLAIR, NJ – The 18th annual Taste of Essex promises to be better than ever with dozens of restaurants participating, special activities such as chair massage, and 50-50 drawing, and prizes for best savory and sweet dishes. The evening also includes lots of great entertainment: Any Excuse for a Party! Of Fairfield, Magician David Corsaro, The Creativity Caravan, Musician Tom Pimpinelli, Elements Massage of Nutley and Maxum Cigars.

Taste of Essex showcases dozens of Essex County restaurants, as well as spirits purveyors, all in one location. It is an opportunity for restaurants to promote their offerings and grow their business. For attendees, it is a chance to sample outstanding food from a variety of restaurants across Essex County. This year’s event will take place on Monday, April 9 5:30 – 8:30 pm at The Manor, 111 Prospect Ave, West Orange, NJ.

The cuisine at the Taste of Essex will include Mexican, Italian, Asian, Brazilian, Greek, American, Irish pub food and lots more.  Awards will be presented for the best savory and sweet cuisine. The participating restaurants include: Ah’ Pizz, ​Ani Ramen House, Asahda’s Restaurant & No. 413 Banquet Hall, Baccus Fine Wine, Benji’s Taqueria Mexican Grill, Bom Bom, Brick Lane Curry, Caldwell Market Place, CATB Liquor Import, Claremont Distilled Spirits, Cowan’s Public, Culinary Academy 360, Dingman’s Dairy, Frank Anthony’s Gourmet Italian, Green Point Juicery, Horseneck Tavern, Jerry’s Vodka, Jersey Spirits Distilling Co., Juli-Anne’s Tropical Kitchen, Krunch Kitchen, Luna Woodfire Tavern, Mark and Julie’s Homemade Ice Cream, Nellz Sweet Retreat, Organic Vintages, Par 440, Rooted Pear, Saki’s Cuisine, ShopRite of West Caldwell/Liquors, ShopRite of West Caldwell/Sunrise Kitchen, Spectrum Spirits, The Barrow House, The Eclectic Chic Boutique, The Guac Spot, and The Manor.

“Essex County continues to grow as a popular dining destination,” commented Michael Daniels, President of the North Essex Chamber, “and we hope that people will join us for what promises to be an exciting evening of outstanding food and much more.”

This event has been made possible through the financial support from United Way of Northern New Jersey, Lifelong Investments, Spencer Savings Bank – North Caldwell, Van Dyk Manor Nursing Home, Caring Hands Healthcare Services, Inc., Kearny Bank – Fairfield, K Macken Landscaping LLC, Smolin & Co. P.A., and Asahda’s Restaurant & No.413 Banquet Hall. A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Essex will go toward the North Essex Chamber Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships to high school seniors in Essex County.
