From Nowruz Bazaar: Nowruz marks the first day of spring and the beginning of a new year in the Persian calendar. We celebrate this rebirth of nature in spring by gathering at our cultural and traditional Spring Bazaar. Every year, many vendors present their services and products to visitors at the bazaar. Nowruz Bazaar is part of the celebration of Iranian New Year and is attended by a great number of local Persian population along with other people from many different backgrounds. With the growth of Iranian Community in our area Nowruz Bazaar invites you to meet and discover the work of fellow Iranians. Various promotional and advertisement packages are now available for business owners and crafty individuals looking to promote their products.
From the Freehold Area Running Club: Freehold Area Running Club presents the 31st Annual St. Paddy’s 5 Mile Race on March 15, 2020. The race runs through Michael J. Tighe Park and surrounding neighborhoods. Refreshments will include beer and hot dogs. T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registrants and new this year are Finishers Medals. The St. Paddy’s 5 Mile Race supports Freehold Twp. Parks and Recreation Special Olympics and Freehold Twp. Recreation Challenger Sports for Special Needs. More information.
From Bergen County Irish: 39th Annual Bergen County St. Patrick’s Day Parade, originally scheduled for March 15, has been rescheduled for Sept. 12. The Officers and Trustees of the Council of Irish Associations of Greater Bergen County voted unanimously to postpone the 39th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade scheduled for this Sunday, March 15th in Bergenfield, N.J. Following close consultations with local and county officials on the current situation of COVID-19 in our area, the difficult, but necessary decision was made. The reschedule date will be Saturday, September 12th, 2020, which is almost halfway to St. Patrick’s Day. More information.
