Enjoy the Winter Walk Holiday Lights. Enter the park on Millburn Avenue by the Gazebo and follow the twinkling lights that will take you through a wonderland of handmade snowflakes, courtesy of local Boy Scout Troop 15. The trees along the path are wrapped in lights, the enormous polar bear is the perfect setting for family photos, and the bridge is adorned with hundreds of lights that reflect into the stream that runs along the Main Street section of the park. Continue your stroll along the Main Street entrance, over the bridge near the Bauer Center and then head for hot chocolate or dinner at your choice of numerous restaurants. The “Winter Walk” has been made possible through the generosity of local businesses, property owners, DMDA, Millburn Township and local residents under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce. Thousands of visitors will enjoy the park from November 24th until the lights dim on January 24th. From Visit New Jersey: Spend Thanksgiving Weekend at South Jersey Vineyards and Tasting Rooms Starting Black Friday and continuing throughout the weekend, wineries from Sussex County to Cape May County will be participating in the Garden State Wine Grower’s Association’s annual Holiday Wine Trail Weekend! Participating wineries will give away holiday grapevine wreaths and decorative ornaments to dress the wreath with. Wine trail travelers will receive a wreath and ornament at their first winery stop of the weekend, and then additional ornaments from each participating winery visited thereafter Friday through Sunday. Wreaths and ornaments are available only at participating wineries and a limited supply exists. Each winery will also have their own special offers and entertainment. This is the Monmouth Museum’s 31st year presenting the popular Holiday Model Trains display in their Main Gallery of the Museum. This is one of the most unique Train Exhibitions in the world because it is surrounded by an International Juried Art Exhibition, this year’s theme is, Fabulous Food, which includes a display of Kids Works who have created pieces in the Green Arts Studio of their favorite Holiday Foods! The display runs from Nov. 18 through Dec. 30. The trains have 6 lines on 3 levels, with over 1200 scale feet of track. The model train layout includes an airport and Jersey Shore seaside boardwalk amusement park. Much of the community is represented by the various real estate named for local businesses and families. The Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders assemble the Holiday Model Trains and create numerous upgrades and additions to this ever-expanding display. The exhibition is designed for kids of all ages, with interactive buttons accessible for their height.
