Family activities and entertainment on the historic Morristown Green, add to the dazzling “Lighting of the Green” ceremony with brilliant lights and wreaths adorning streetlights town-wide – a 100+ year tradition! From the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) concludes its 57th season with Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted for the stage by Neil Bartlett and directed by longtime company member Brian B. Crowe. Tickets for A Christmas Carol begin at just $39 for preview performances and $59 for regular performances. The Theatre is proud to continue its 30 UNDER 30 program which provides patrons age 30 and under with tickets for only $30 with a valid ID. More information.

Marvel at the creativity and skill displayed at this festive and charming exhibit featuring 150+ edible masterpieces crafted by local schools, scout troops, and families. With past creations from Hogwarts, to enchanted gardens, pirate ships, and Santa’s Workshop, this is a must see for all ages. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite! From New Jersey Jazz Society: On Sunday, December 15, at the New Jersey Jazz Society Social at Shanghai Jazz in Madison, Armstrong scholar Ricky Riccardi will be spinning Louis’ The Night Before Christmas recording, discussing it, and playing some live music with trumpeter Danny Tobias and drummer Rich Noorigian. (Riccardi will be on piano). The New Jersey Jazz Society produces 10 Sunday Jazz Socials a year, which are free to members. Admission is $10 for non-members, and there is a $10 food/beverage minimum. For the December Social, doors will open at 2 p.m., and the program will start at 2:30 p.m. Shanghai Jazz is located at 24 Main St. in Madison.
