On a quest for mouth-watering New York City-style pizza without the traffic or tolls that go hand-in-hand with leaving New Jersey? Hank Zona, wine expert and founder of ‘The Grapes Unwrapped,’ shares a video that proves you can find the perfect pie without crossing the Hudson.
Zona interviewed Dan Richer at Razza Artigianale in Jersey City to talk about pizza, wine, and the NJ food culture.
“The Dan Richer video came from years of knowing him and having had countless hours of conversations with him about food and wine and
other beverages and the restaurant business and agriculture and travel and life,” says Zona. “When Dan won Best Chef in NJ at the Culinary Arts Awards it made perfect sense because the award was for ‘accomplishments that have served to inspire, educate and set standards in both the state and the industry.’ I’d say he fit the description.”
Mike Paras, who films the video series ‘Hank’s Wine Shorts’, has also known Richer for years, so the pair paid the award-winning chef a visit and check out the pizza Thrillist named the best in New Jersey:
