From Panevino Ristorante:
New bocce courts and outdoor seating are now open at Panevino Ristorante, one of New Jersey’s favorite Italian restaurants. The bocce courts have long been one of the pleasures of dining at Panevino, open in the restaurant’s back garden since it opened just over 30 years ago, free for guests to use. This season, a complete renovation resurfaced and refreshed the courts, with new wooden scoreboards, expanded seating, and an outdoor bar, and overhead lights that twinkle as the sun sets.
Perfect for a summer evening, guests can play a game of bocce while enjoying a glass of wine with friends before or after their meal, for a relaxing slice of life all’ italiana.
Beloved for fresh ingredients grown in its own working herb garden, Neapolitan pizza, and a variety of delicious pastas, Panevino specializes in the cuisine of the Campania region of Italy. Panevino’s name comes from the Italian words “pane e vino” which translate to “bread and wine,” and a philosophy of the essentials of life. The menu features a selection of pizzas cooked in a wood-fired brick oven, resulting in a traditional Italian textured crust. The design of the restaurant is based on the look of a Tuscan farmhouse, with terra-cotta floor tiles, colorful ceramics, and custom art interpreting the basic theme of fruit, vegetables, bread and wine.
The bocce courts are open for restaurant guests any time Panevino is open. The space is also available for private parties.
Panevino is located at: 637 West Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ, 07039, Tel: 973-535-6160, www.panevinonj.com
Based upon the Italian “pane e vino” which translates to “bread and wine,” Panevino is known for its working herb garden, rustic décor, wood-burning pizza oven and beautiful outdoor patio. Its pizzas are made just like the ones in Italy’s Campania region, with Caputo flour, San Marzano tomatoes, and handmade fior di latte mozzarella. Panevino also offers savory pastas, fresh seafood, delicious salads, antipasti and pizza delivery. Two outdoor bocce courts are open during warm weather months for all guests to enjoy. In recognition of authentic techniques, ingredients and presentation, Panevino has received the Ospitalità Italiana certification and is proud to have served the Northern New Jersey community of Livingston for over 30 years.
