EVENT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

All submissions are moderated by editors for quality, consistency and relevance to our site. NJNext.com features fun, entertaining and educational arts/culture, food/drink, lifestyle, holiday and travel events for grown-ups and families in the state of NJ. Please do not submit events from outside the state.

All submissions will be posted at editors’ discretion, and we may edit event submissions as we deem necessary.

Please submit events a minimum of 1-2 weeks ahead of the event date. The earlier you submit your event, the sooner we are likely to post it.

Please keep your Event Description brief; we suggest not going over three short paragraphs, between 100-200 words of text.

Basic Events

Basic events must be an event that runs for one or multiple days, but is not recurring or ongoing. For example: a wine tasting on a Saturday from 7 – 9 p.m.; a three-day crafts festival taking place over a weekend; a week-long, holiday-themed restaurant special.

Examples of recurring or ongoing events include plays or exhibits that run over a period of weeks or months. Those events qualify for other listings only (see below).

Featured, Premium, Flat Fee

Monthly fees get you priority posting and other extras depending on the level you select, and may include a full-color photo of your choice that will display across the top of our home page when someone clicks on your event, a prominent position at the top of our Events Calendar with a “Pick” button next to it, and promotion on our robust social media (see Submit an Event for more details.)

Recurring events — including such as shows/plays that run multiple times over the course of weeks or months  — or ongoing events such as museum exhibits, MUST be Flat Fee. For one monthly rate, you can submit up to 5 or 10 events that take place over the course of several months, for example.

For all events, we will charge you a monthly fee regardless of the date you submit your entry, the date we post it, and the date of the event. We do not prorate monthly fees.
