Food Truck Festival & Carole King Tribute Come to Bridgewater Aug. 5

Bring your appetite – for great food and music as the annual Food Truck Fest featuring Kinderhook and Home Again, a Carole King Tribute band, visit Duke Island Park in Bridgewater Sunday, Aug. 5. A variety of food trucks selling a range of culinary delights will be on hand beginning at 5pm to start the festivities.

Kinderhook (originally Kinderhook Creek) was a popular New Jersey country rock band in the 70s and 80s. They had a devoted fan base that literally followed them from gig to gig. They opened for bands such as  the Conway Twitty, Pure Prairie League, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Richie Havens, and New Riders of the Purple Sage.  They reunited in 2010 and started playing venues again, including the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Kinderhook plays a blend of their original music mixed with country and rock classics.

Home Again is a true celebration of Carole King’s legend and captures the “Beautiful” spirit of a unique time in music history!  Deb De Lucca, joined by her band of seasoned musicians, takes the audience on a journey through the catalogue of Carole King’s own recorded hit songs, as well as songs she has written for other artists.  She began singing beginning with Tapestry in 1971, but was also a well-established songwriter for a decade prior writing songs for other artists including The Shirelles, The Monkees, The Carpenters, and The Drifters.
