From Display Gardens & Nursery: The Display Gardens & Nursery are open annually for the Peony Bloom from the last Friday in April through the second Sunday in June. On May 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, and June 7th we extend our normal 11-5 hours for Friday Night Picnics from 5-7pm. Admission is our standard $10 per person per visit. Infants and children under 2 are free. No reservations are necessary. Our Friday Night Picnics are wonderful events. We have tables and chairs spread throughout the garden but they can fill up. We recommend you bring a picnic blanket and whatever else you need to make yourself comfortable. More information 

From Tour of Somerville: Join the fun to kickoff the Memorial Day weekend with the 14th Annual Legal Runaround 5K presented by the Somerset County Bar Foundation. Benefitting the local community the fun starts at 5PM Thursday, May 23 and includes a 3K Poker Walk and Kids’ Dashes. There is music, prizes, and post-event fun all starting at the Somerset County Courthouse, Somerville, NJ. The bike racing action begins on Saturday in Bound Brook, NJ for the 20th Annual Bound Brook Criterium. Top cyclists come to Central Jersey in preparation for the weekend of racing and Main Street, Bound Brook is where it starts. Racing begins at 9 AM and features nine racing categories from juniors, up to seniors, masters, and culminates in professional women’s and men’s races. More information

From Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership: The 2019 Bound Brook Memorial Day Parade presented annually by Giles-Biondi American Legion Post 63 is set for Monday, May 27, rain and/or shine. The parade convenes at Bound Brook Memorial Library, 402 E. High Street, at 9:30 a.m. and steps off promptly at 10 a.m. The route moves west on High Street, turns right on Church Street and then left on Union Avenue (Route 28) to the War Memorial at Vosseller and Union Avenues for the traditional Memorial Day ceremony. From Somerset Patriots Revolutionary Spirit Night: The first 2,000 Fans in attendance will receive a Patriotic Baseball when they enter the ballpark. The Somerset Patriots will host Revolutionary Spirit Night at the ballpark. Fans will be able to enjoy different displays throughout the concourse honoring the history of the Revolutionary War. Come out and see a replica boat that George Washington used to cross the Delaware. The first 500 Fans in attendance will receive Quill Pens presented by Crossroads of the American Revolution.
