Looks Like New Jersey Is Pulling for the Eagles

Super Bowl Sunday is upon us. Alas, none of the teams that call MetLife Stadium home are in the scrum, but there’s a lot of passionate sports fans out there making their preferences known in New Jersey.

Since about half the Eagles team lives in South Jersey (hello there, Carson Wentz!), NJNext has gotta go with the Iggles. We’re not going to tell you where to find sports bars in South Jersey where you can party and watch with other Eagles fans: Just head out your door and listen for the distant sounds of “Fly Eagles Fly.” (Or check out NJ.com’s list here.)

Mulligan’s Pub, Hoboken

In North Jersey, it’s a bit trickier. But long-time displaced Eagles fans have long known that Mulligan’s Pub, 159 First Street in Hoboken, is an Eagles fan hangout.

“The group went from 20 to where I’ll have 200 here on Sunday,” Mulligan’s owner Paul Dawson (a Jets fan) told NorthJersey.com last year — BEFORE the Eagles astonishing 2018 season. “It was weird at first, but word got around to the point where we even have some people from the Philly area come up here to watch the game. Business is business, and they have been great. Of course, if there were problems, they wouldn’t be here.”

Mullligan’s regularly has $2 Bud Light & Yuengling drafts, $10 Buckets of (4) Bud Light bottles. There’s a full-menu kitchen with Buffalo wing specials. Typically, just one of the two bars at Mulligan’s is for Eagles games (one with six TVs showing the Eagles game from every angle), but we’re guessing all set are tuned to the Super Bowl today.

Zeppelin Hall, Jersey City

Eagles, Patriots and all football fans are welcome at Zeppelin Hall (88 Liberty View Drive, Jersey City), which will be showing the Super Bowl on 5 gigantic screens including one that’s 200 inches while they serve up $5 buffalo wings and $4 Coors lights from 6pm until close. Super Bowl Sunday is also the last day of Zeppelin Hall’s Baconfest World Tour. For more information visit www.zeppelinhall.com
