If you want to impress your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, there’s no better way than to reserve a table for two and enjoy an intimate yet decadent dinner. Fortunately, restaurants throughout the Garden State are ready to serve up a romantic evening that’s as special as the bond you and your beloved share.

The following New Jersey restaurants are hosting Valentine’s Day dinners that excite the senses and please the palate. February 14th will be here before we know so it’s not a moment too soon to start making plans.

Summit House, Summit

Celebrate with a special night at Summit House. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the upscale Springfield Avenue eatery will present an $85 three-course prix fixe menu that includes appetizers, entrées and dessert, with four choices per course. (Price does not include tax and gratuity.) Guests also will have the option to select a $45 wine pairing or $65 premium wine pairing with the meal.

Reservations for this special occasion are required, and can be made via Open Table or by calling 908-273-6000 after 12 p.m.The last day for reservation changes is Monday, February 12th. Increases in party size made after that date are subject to availability. Any decrease in party size made after February 12th will result in a per person fee if Summit House is unable to fill that space.

The Bernards Inn, Bernardsville

Executive Chef Todd Mark Miller will presenting a mouthwatering three course prix-fixe menu in the dining room with lovingly-prepared, delectable dishes such as Lobster, Chateaubriand, Rack of Lamb and more. Enjoy live piano music in the Library Bar and award-winning service in a romantic setting. LeJardin, Edgewater

Enjoy a fabulous four-course dinner for $79.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) prepared by the restaurant’s new Executive Chef Franco Gilaga, whose passion for food and culinary excellence has taken him to Belgium, Italy, France New York & Chicago. Couples can take a break from gazing into each other’s eyes and take in stunning views of the Manhattan Skyline and the George Washington Bridge.

Common Lot, Millburn

Acclaimed chef and owner Ehren Ryan will be preparing an innovative four-course menu priced at $95 per person (plus tip and tax). Entrees choices include: Salmon with Fennel, White Beans, Harissa Sauce, spiced Yoghurt or Short Rib, with Potato Gratin, mixed Mushrooms, pickled Broccoli.

Because Ryan’s menu requires a great deal of advance preparation, Common Lot requires your contact name and telephone number together with your credit card details to hold the reservation, which can be made by calling 973 467 0494 between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or via email at info@commonlot.com Please note that if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will be charged a $50 per person cancellation fee.

Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen, Morristown

The stunning restaurant located in Morristown’s Vail Mansion will be serving a four course prix fixe menu in the Dining Room, and a three course prix fixe menu in the Oyster Bar and Rathskeller. Luciano’s Italian Ristorante & Lounge, Rahway

The Union County eatery renowned for its Classic Italian dishes reminds patrons: “The way to a woman’s heart is through a door to a great restaurant.” This Valentine’s Day, enjoy a four-course dinner priced at $80 per person. Restaurant Nicholas, Red Bank

Savor redefined modern fine dining at this elegant restaurant owned by Restaurateur Nicholas Harary and his wife Melissa. The Valentine’s Menu features a three-course menu, including Wood Grilled Florida Gulf Shrimp, Roasted Colorado Lamb Loin, for $135 per person (not including tax and gratuity). Each couple will receive a complimentary petite box of chocolate and our freshly made banana bread.

The Ebbitt Room, Cape May
