Visiting an area with so many great dining options can be daunting. How will you choose the best meal in town? Or, what if you could sample a little something at multiple places? Now you can. If you’re headed to Morristown, let Savor and Stroll Culinary Tours be your guide to a palate-pleasing afternoon.
Savor and Stroll was started by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Kathleen Carozza, who believes food should nourish the mind, body, and soul.
Attendees, who will walk three miles over the course of three hours, have an opportunity to learn about Morristown’s rich history and taste a meal’s worth of samples from culinary partners while strolling through town. Tour guides present facts and tidbits about the area – past and present.
Participants taste samples from:
- The Artist Baker, Pierogies House, George and Martha’s, Southstreet Creamery, Enjou Chocolate and Seasons Olive Oil & Vinegar Taproom
Hear more about
- Historic churches & their cemeteries, the Morristown Green and its statues, several mansions, famous residents and locations of significance during the Revolutionary War and Gilded Age!
Tours begin at 1:30 p.m. on the following upcoming dates:
Tickets are $64 per person. The ticket includes guided tour and food samples from six restaurants or shops. Adult beverages are available for purchase at one stop.
The tour is appropriate for tweens through adults who can walk on a variety of pathways for approximately three miles over three hours with two opportunities to sit in-between. There are also benches along the way in two places.
Parents with young children in strollers are welcome, but strollers may not fit in some shops. The route is completely accessible, but wheelchairs maybe difficult to maneuver in one shop. With advanced notice, tour guides will do their best to accommodate special dietary needs.
