Peony’s Envy Peak Party & Rose Day Festival Showcase the Best of Somerset in Bloom




Calling all gardeners! Somerset County is hosting two events that celebrate the beauty of the season and will inspire everyone from novices to master gardeners. Peony’s Envy Peak Bloom Party and the Rose Day Festival at Rudolf van der Goot Rose Garden are wonderful ways to enjoy the stunning landscape with like-minded floral enthusiasts.

Celebrate the Peak Herbaceous Peony Bloom with Peony’s Envy on Saturday, June 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 34 Autumn Hill Dr. in Bernardsville. Savor a buffet-style picnic in the garden among the stunning peak peony bloom. This is a BYOB event. Tickets available through Peony’s Envy’s website.

If you can’t attend the Peak Bloom party, you can still enjoy picnics in the garden. Or, take home some cut flowers to create a glorious seasonal centerpiece. Visit the website for additional details.

Rose Day Festival at Rudolf van der Goot Rose Garden in Franklin Township celebrates one of the first signs of summer. Held on Saturday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this rain-or-shine event is free and enjoyable for the whole family.

In the heart of the park, the Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden displays thousands of roses of many varieties, with both modern and historic significance. Visitors are encouraged to spend the day strolling through the gardens, enjoying music and live entertainment, meeting local artisans and indulging in some great food. Back by popular demand, rose plants will also be for sale.

Dan Kassel – Contemporary Cellist Extraordinaire 12:45 – 1:25pm Some Like it Hot Club – (swinging gypsy jazz) 1:30 – 3:00pm Cosmic Brotherhood – (funky world music) 3:30 – 5:00pm

Also featuring : Artists, artisans, crafters, food, fun, and more. Spinning with Botanical Fiber by Tara of Wheels & Wool – Noon & 3pm
