St. Patrick’s Day Parades This Weekend: Where to Go Irish in New Jersey

Feeling a bit cooped up from this week’s winter storm? There are a bunch of St. Patrick’s Day parades this weekend where you can enjoy the good weather and be Irish for a day!

Morris County’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade: noon

The festivities begin with Mass at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 91 Maple Ave. in Morristown. The Pre-Parade Entertainment at the Reviewing stand on Park Place in Morristown at 10:30 a.m. The Parade starts at the Morristown Municipal Building on South Street in Morristown at 12 p.m.

Union County’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 1 p.m.

The Thornstick Mass will start the day, and be hosted in conjunction with the Elizabeth A.O.H. at St. Patrick’s Church in Elizabeth at 9 a.m. The Reviewing Stand Festivities at Morris and Stuyvesant Avenues in Union begin at noon. Enjoy the “Kid’s Zone,” fun for all ages on Stuyvesant Ave. (just off Morris Ave.) The Parade begins at 1 p.m. with the Marching units gathered on Morris Avenue and along Commerce and Jeanette Avenues. The parade route proceeds east along Morris Avenue to a turn at the Main Reviewing Stand at Stuyvesant Ave. and ends at Roosevelt Avenue. The Midway Reviewing Stand at Morris and Caldwell Avenues has parade announcers with details of all of the participants, history and other information.

Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade: noon

The Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off at noon on Saturday, March 10. At this year’s parade,  municipal workers will be honored. Special Event for this years parade: At the end of this year’s parade, the parade committee will be hosting an after party with Irish music, traditional Irish food and refreshments for those over 21.

Please come down to the Tri–Boro First Aid Squad Building, located 61 J St, Seaside Park, NJ. Doors will open at 4 pm with a $5 entrance fee.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton: 1 p.m.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton is set for Saturday, March 10 at 1 p.m. The parade begins at the Nottingham Fire House located at 200 Mercer Street in Hamilton. Mayor Kelly Yaede was named 2018 Hamilton St. Patrick’s Day Parade grand marshal. Atlantic City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 1 p.m.

Atlantic City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for Saturday, March 10. The parade begins at 1 p.m. North of the Garden Pier and the Boardwalk ending at Albany Avenue and the Boardwalk. It will feature pipe bands, string bands, and more.

West Orange St. Patrick’s Day: 12:15 p.m. (Note: Postponed to March 18)

The parade route begins at the corners of Main Street & Mt. Pleasant Avenue (WO Town Hall) and runs north along Main Street to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Eagle Rock Avenue.

Hackettstown’s 10th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 3:30 p.m.

The parade route begins in front of the Post Office at 120 Grand Ave.

Jersey City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade: 12:30 p.m.

The parade begins at Lincoln Park in the heart of Jersey City and continues along Kennedy Boulevard ending at Journal Square.

Somerville’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 1:30 p.m.

Don’t miss the fun in Central Jersey.

Somerville’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for March 11 at 1:30 p.m. The Parade begins at the corner of Main and Grove Streets in downtown Somerville and will proceed west to West End Avenue near Immaculate Conception Church.

A pre-parade show is typically held weather permitting at 1 p.m. and will feature Irish Dancing exhibitions, and will be located in front of the Review Stand at the corner of Main Street and Doughty Avenue.

Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 1 p.m.

Asbury Park’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for March 11 at 1 p.m. The parade route begins at the Asbury Park Boardwalk on Ocean Avenue at 5th Avenue and continues southwest towards downtown.

The reviewing stand & VIP area will be located in the heart of downtown at Press Plaza (Cookman/Emory Ave). The parade ends on Main Street in Municipal Plaza. To view the parade route, visit the website.
