You don’t need lederhosen or even a ticket to Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest this year. Festivities abound across New Jersey with some beginning as early as mid-September and continuing straight through October.
With outdoor and tented biergartens for adults, parades, music, and activities for children, there are plenty of ways to enjoy this spirited tradition. Check out this list and mark your calendar!

WHAT: Nacho Fathas Oktoberfest BBQ will celebrate the season with beer, live music and (of course) BBQ in Northern New Jersey outdoors at Garden State Plaza.
An array of BBQ vendors will be on hand selling smoked meats and sausages. Other food vendors will offer traditional Oktoberfest fare like potato pancakes and soft pretzels. Grab some brews from a seasonal biergarten featuring local craft breweries and German beer on tap.
Other attractions and activities include music featuring all day performances by THE KILLER JOE BAND and games for the entire family plus fun contests, giveaways and more! Tickets can be purchased in advance online or in person at the event.
