Free Central Jersey Jazz Festival Swings Into Flemington, New Brunswick, & Somerville Sept. 14-16

Celebrating the today’s best jazz, The Central Jersey Jazz Festival is a free three-day, three-city, three-county all star jazz festival taking place September 14-16 in Flemington, New Brunswick & Somerville. With evening performances Friday and afternoon shows Saturday and Sunday at outdoor venues, the event is a gift for music fans of all ages from across the Garden State and beyond to enjoy.

It’s BYO seating for this rain-or-shine festival of sound, which presents an opportunity to support each city’s businesses and eateries while listening to some of the most talented artists performing today.

Friday’s Schedule
The first day of the Central Jersey Jazz Fest will begin in Flemington on Main Street directly in front of the Historic County Courthouse.

6pm to 7pm – Lakecia Benjamin
7:30pm to 8:30pm – Sachal Vasandani
9pm to 10pm – Dave Stryker

Saturday’s Schedule
The second day of the Central Jersey Jazz Fest will take place in New Brunswick on George Street between Liberty Street & Bayard Street (on NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor line).

1pm to 2:15pm – Matthew Whitaker

4:30pm to 6pm – Terri Lyne Carrington

Sunday’s Schedule
The Central Jersey Jazz Fest will end right here in Somerset County – in Downtown Somerville at the County Historic Courthouse Green.

JazzFest Art Exhibit and Sale
Artists and artisans will be offering an array of fascinating and affordable artwork for sale.

Festival Food Court & Wine and Beer Garden

Delicious food and beverages will be available for purchase from Downtown Somerville restaurants at the Festival Food Court which will be adjacent to the Somerset County Courthouse Green. Verve Restaurant will offer a wine and beer garden for visitors over 21 years of age, along with a light lunch menu and Tapastre will offer a craft beer garden.
