From Boonton Fire Department Labor Day Carnival and Parade: The Town of Boonton Fire Department is celebrating its 128th year. It will continue the tradition of sponsoring a Carnival and Parade throughout Labor Day Weekend. The four-day carnival at Boonton High School will start on Thursday, August 29th 6-11:59 p.m., with pay-one-price rides from Blue Sky Amusements for children and adults, food tents, and games. Admission will be free. Purchase a wristband for the rides one hour before the carnival opens and will continue to sell throughout the carnival weekend. Carnival hours Friday, Aug. 31, 6-11:59 p.m.; Saturday 1:30pm – 11:59pm and Sunday, 3-11:59 p.m. More information

From Denville String Band: Large fun parade that begins at Main St and Tempe Wick Rd in Mendham and proceeds along Main St, turns right on Mountain Ave and ends at Borough Field. The weather may be hot but you’ll still have fun! More information

From the South Plainfield Public Celebrations Committee: Our 62nd annual parade begins at 10am at the SP PAL building and make it’s way down Maple Ave and Plainfield Ave; ending at the Middle School. Immediately following the parade, please join us at the middle school festivities; for food, drinks, live music, and tons of vendors!! The fun-filled day ends with a an amazing fireworks display at dusk in Spring Lake Park. This year’s parade theme is “Veterans… Always Serving”.
